Key Features

  • Turnkey contract with the objective of delivering the following work packages: Cleanroom, Cleanroom Flooring, Mechanical, HVAC, Electrical, Automation, Environmental Monitoring System, and Facility Qualification Preparation.
  • All work packages include installation, start-up, and commissioning of the relevant equipment.
  • The panel system, including all penetrations, is certifiable in accordance with VDI 2083‑19:2019, leak‑tightness class 4, and designed to maintain integrity under pressure fluctuations up to ±1000 Pa.
  • Ceilings consist of cleanroom panels mounted on a metal substructure, with appropriate inspection openings allowing access to utilities and installations.
  • Within the BSL‑3 laboratory, water supply and drainage for the autoclave are provided.

Total BSL‑3 Area: 163 m²
Cleanroom Area: 715 m²
Total Panel Quantity: 3,140 m² (2,180 m² wall panels + 960 m² ceiling panels)

Project Highlights

This project represents the construction of the first diagnostic laboratory facility with Biosafety Level 3 in the Republic of Serbia. The facility is designed to meet all requirements for handling pathogenic agents that necessitate this biosafety level, including SARS‑CoV‑1, yellow fever virus, West Nile virus, eastern equine encephalitis virus, and MERS‑CoV, as well as various bacterial, fungal, and rickettsial pathogens.

The project is implemented by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Serbia, through its Project Coordination Unit.
