Aleksandra Basta joined DECO Engineering in 2020, where she serves as Project Assistant, overseeing project-related communications, digital marketing, and the social dimensions of DECO Engineering’s key initiatives. In this capacity, she is responsible for preparing the bases for invoicing in line with project progress on the FGD TENT B Project, one of the company’s flagship endeavors.
Aleksandra also plays a key role in training teams on project-specific digital tools and platforms, managing DECO Engineering’s online presence through LinkedIn, and coordinating rebranding activities and website development. Her work involves close collaboration with marketing agencies and project partners, effectively combining strategic communication with financial oversight.
In the World Bank–financed project “Construction of a New Diagnostic and Research Facility” with the first BSL-3 Laboratory at the Torlak Institute in Serbia,” Aleksandra played a pivotal role as Social Expert, elevating the project’s social performance to a benchmark of excellence and positioning it as a model of best practice in social responsibility.
Prior to joining DECO Engineering, Aleksandra spent six years in the DECO’s subsidiary, where she managed public relations and marketing activities, ensuring brand alignment and supporting project administration.
Aleksandra built a distinguished career in the automotive sector, where she was responsible for network business development, compliance programs, and legal coordination with international and local partners.
Earlier in her career, she worked in the non-governmental sector, managing EU-funded programs focused on minority return, housing and infrastructure reconstruction, and local economic development.
Aleksandra holds a Master’s degree in Economics from the University of Osijek in Croatia and earned her Certified Digital Marketing Professional credential from the Digital Marketing Institute in 2022. She is fluent in English and German and has working proficiency in Italian.
